I would still meet Ruto even if Raila denied it – Jalang’o

Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o, claims that even if Raila Odinga had rejected his request to attend the White House, he still would have gone.

Jalang’o claimed Raila had given them the go-ahead on topics pertaining to development in an interview with Spice FM.

“Raila has already given us a go-ahead on matters development, every party member has a key to discuss development, if I had to call him again in regards to State House call and he said no, I would still have gone,” he said.

“If I receive a call, I will of course ask the agenda of the meeting, if it’s development, I will go, if not, I won’t go.”

Jalang’o claimed that President William Ruto got permission from Raila to attend the groundbreaking for affordable homes project in the Highrise ward when Ruto first visited his constituency.

“When the President was visiting my area for the first time for the affordable housing project, I called my party leader and he told me, if it’s anything development, go ahead, and be part of it,” he said

He added that the residents of Lang’ata do not care who the President of the Republic is as long as the region is developed.

“It’s the people of Lang’ata who will judge me at the end of the day, politics notwithstanding,” he said.

After the meeting on Tuesday, Jalang’o stated he will follow up on the Highrise ward’s affordable housing project.
