Vladimir Coufal of West Ham is apparently wanted by Bayern Leverkusen, with Xabi Alonso hoping to bring in a right-back during the January transfer window.
According to Sky Germany, the former Liverpool player is looking to bolster his Leverkusen team in the forthcoming transfer window. Alonso is especially interested in Coufal at right back after the Bundesliga team’s disappointing season.
Since joining West Ham in 2020 for a reputed £5 million, the Czech Republic international has been a regular. However, this season, the 30-year-old has lost his starting right-back position to Thilo Kehrer, a recent addition from Germany.
As a result, Coufal may be on the move in January, with Leverkusen showing particular interest considering how entertaining Alonso’s time at the club may be, even though the German team lost in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League this season.
