CS education Ezekiel Machogu has praised George Magoha, his predecessor, as a selfless person with a goal in life.
Magoha was also recalled by Machogu as a distinguished scholar and doctor who served the nation with distinction.
“He was a man who has left footprints in the ministry of education and other areas in this country that can never be erased,” Machogu said on Saturday.
The CS also commended Maseno University for giving Magoha the option to become a lecturer, a post he claimed would have allowed him to teach and carry out his academic research.
Machogu added that the administration would “do all possible” to remember the late George Magoha.
“I will convey your requests to the President so that we will do something for this university in honour of our late professor,” Machogu said.
In honour of Magoha’s accomplishments, regional leaders have requested that the government upgrade Akang’o, a campus of Maseno University.
In the administration of former president Uhuru Kenyatta, the late Magoha held the position of Cabinet Secretary for Education.
