Arsenal has repeated a disappointing outcome for the second time within a week by squandering an initial two-goal advantage, resulting in them dropping two points, due to a stunning comeback by West Ham United.
In the previous week, there was mixed opinion among fans and experts on whether Mikel Arteta’s team had thrown away a win at Liverpool, where they scored two early goals and seemed on course to end their 10-year winless run at Anfield, before Liverpool turned the match around.
The Gunners managed to secure a draw, thanks to Aaron Ramsdale’s superb saves towards the end of the game.
Similarly, on Sunday, Arsenal once again established a two-goal lead early on, this time against the relegation-threatened West Ham, but failed to maintain their lead.
West Ham reduced the deficit before half-time and eventually equalized in the second half, with the possibility of winning.
There was also a missed penalty, with Bukayo Saka missing the spot-kick when Arsenal was still leading 2-1, which occurred in the same way as the previous game.
