Police in Bungoma are looking into a fire that destroyed one of the school’s dormitories at St. Andrew Girl’s Secondary School.
One of the dormitories at the school was reportedly on fire, according to the school administration.
When police arrived at the school, they discovered one dormitory with walls constructed of iron sheeting on fire.
The fire was successfully contained by members of the public and school employees before it could spread.
However, the entire dormitory and the belongings of the students who were staying there were damaged by the fire.
All of the students living in the dormitory were saved and moved to a safer location after being rescued.
Police investigated the location on February 11 and are trying to determine what started the fire. This has not yet been determined.
