Raila Odinga, the Azimio la Umoja leader, received a warm welcome on Thursday afternoon when he visited the immigration office in Nairobi.

The former prime minister was received by Julius Bitok, the Principal Secretary for Citizen Service.

“My passport expired, and today I went down to the immigration department to renew it,” Raila said.

Mr. Odinga thanked the staff for their timely service.

“I’d like to thank the agency’s friendly and helpful staff for the reception and timely service,” Raila said.

The opposition chief returned to Kenya on Monday after a one-week visit to South Africa and went to Kamukunji grounds for his planned rally.
