Antonio Rudiger has given an interview to MARCA ahead of his club’s Champions League quarterfinal match against his former team, Chelsea.

The German player spoke about his experience of playing for Real Madrid, the pressure of playing in the Champions League, and the upcoming match against Chelsea.

Rudiger said that teams face a lot of pressure in the Champions League, especially when they play against record-winners Real Madrid. He claimed that he could see the fear in the faces of his rivals in the competition. However, Rudiger added that playing for Real Madrid was also very challenging and that there was never a moment without pressure.

The centre-back has played for four clubs in four different countries, including Stuttgart, Roma, Chelsea, and now Real Madrid. He said that playing for Real Madrid was much harder than playing for other clubs. Although he acknowledged that his form might have its ups and downs, he was committed to giving his all on the field.

Rudiger has become a regular starter at Real Madrid, and he sees himself as a visible leader on the field. He spoke positively about his first nine months at the club, saying that everything was perfect.

Finally, Rudiger spoke about the upcoming match against his former team, Chelsea. He expected a tough clash, acknowledging that the Chelsea team he played for was nothing like the current one. Nonetheless, he anticipates a challenging game, as Chelsea have plenty of quality players.
