President William Ruto will attend a church service in Tharaka Nithi count on Sunday.
He will fellowship with other congregants at Chuka Igambang’ombe Constituency’s Kirubia Stadium.
Other leaders will accompany the President.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua declared last week at a church service in Roysambu that they would continue to attend services there until they left office.
The DP claimed that they are in office because of their petitions and that they will not pay attention to those who criticize them for attending church.
“I want to tell our distractors we will be in church 52 Sundays in a year for the next five years,” he said.
He added that the plan was to send him to Kamiti and claimed that their ascent to power was due to prayers.
“They had planned for me to go to Kamiti but because of prayers and God in heaven, today President William Ruto who was selling chicken is the President and commander in chief of the defence forces,” he said.
