The Ruto regime must end, says Raila

President William Ruto’s administration must end, according to opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Raila declared in a statement that the Azimio coalition will not give up on seeking justice.

He stated that they would keep battling for their alleged win in the August 2022 presidential election.

The former prime minister also said that no agreements would be reached this time.

“Azimio remains unwavering in its fight for the millions of Kenyans who gave us a decisive victory with a margin of over 2 million votes. The Ruto-led UDA regime must go. No handshake, no deals, no agreements, no retreat!” he said on Sunday.

His words came after the highly anticipated Jacaranda rally, where he cautioned President William Ruto not to underestimate him.

The Azimio leader said that the people’s power exceeds that of the state.

“You don’t know us, go and ask Nyayo(late President Moi), you…. the power of the people is the voice of God,” Raila warned.

“We defeated Ruto with over 2 million votes and even if we were to go back to the polls, we shall defeat him again.”

As he campaigns vehemently against Ruto’s administration, the ODM leader also disclosed his upcoming destinations across the nation.

The Azimio protests will travel to Mombasa, Machakos, Nakuru, Kakamega, Kisii, and Kisumu.

“This is not about me, it is about the the youth, women, children, disabled and the old,” he said.

“Kenyans must be able to go to an election, the ballots must be counted and results announced as per results counted.”
