Reportedly, Aston Villa has joined other teams in the race to sign Joaquin Correa, an attacker from Inter Milan.

Inter is willing to sell the Argentine forward this summer and has placed a €15m (£12m) price tag on him.

Everton and West Ham are also showing interest in the 28-year-old striker, but Villa might have an advantage if they can secure the deal quickly.

Inter is eager to sell Correa this summer to finance new signings, as he has failed to meet expectations at the San Siro.

The Nerazzurri is demanding his immediate sale, and Villa could benefit from this by adding the South American attacker to their squad.

Unai Emery, the Villa manager, has a history of transforming players’ fortunes, and he might be able to do the same with Correa. Villa’s style of play could suit the versatile attacker, who excels as a natural second-striker.

Despite Correa’s lackluster performance at Inter this season, Villa might be willing to take a chance on him, especially since Inter is asking for a reasonable transfer fee.

With a potential chance of playing in European competitions, adding proven talents such as Correa to their team could be advantageous for Villa.

If Emery can work his magic, Correa could be a valuable addition to the squad and help lead the team to success on the continent.

Alex Moreno makes ‘amazing’ Aston Villa comment

Alex Moreno, the left-back for Aston Villa, emphasizes the significance of their upcoming game as the club strives to qualify for European football in the remaining weeks of the season.

Currently placed sixth in the league with seven games to go, Villa has a promising opportunity to finish inside the top six for the first time since 2010.

This positive outcome can be attributed to the significant impact made by Unai Emery, who has won 12 of his first 18 league games since taking charge in November.

Emery’s appointment at Villa brought about a remarkable transformation, taking over from Steven Gerrard, who was sacked due to the team’s poor start to the season.

Despite only adding two players to the squad, Moreno and Jhon Duran, in January, Villa has significantly improved its performance, dropping just two points from the last 24 available across eight games.

As a result, the team is now firmly in contention for European football with the end of the season in sight.

Moreno, who has secured a regular starting position in the team, made his third assist since joining Villa in their 3-0 victory over Newcastle United last weekend.

“Today, I’m very, very happy,” he told Villa TV after the win over Eddie Howe’s side. “We had a good team in front of us, Newcastle, and it was a very tough match.

“It was a good performance from the team and a very important three points. We have to continue in the next match to get a very important three points away from home.”

He added: “The supporters are very important at Villa Park. Amazing fans, support, and they helped the team. They’re very important in the stadium.

“The challenge in front of us today was Newcastle. The objective now is the next match, which is very important.”
