Following reports that Aaron Cresswell might leave West Ham in the summer window, the left-back has hinted about his future plans.

Aaron Cresswell and West Ham have had a challenging season in the Premier League, with their problems in the full-back positions reflecting the team’s struggles.

Fullback is a crucial position in any team, as Harry Redknapp used to say, “you’re only as good as your fullbacks.”

Cresswell, who is now in his ninth year at West Ham and is vice-captain, has been questioned and criticised this season due to his advancing years and defensive vulnerabilities.

Although Cresswell was once regarded as “magic,” some have labeled him as “tragic.” However, he has recently bounced back and stood up to be counted. When Moyes stated that he would return to playing the players he trusts, Cresswell was among them.

Despite being extended until 2024, Cresswell’s age and difficult campaign have led some to question whether he should leave the club. However, in a big hint about his future, Cresswell has declared his love for West Ham and his intention to stay for his tenth year.

While Cresswell acknowledges that he is at the end of his career, he vows to continue giving his all, whether he is playing or not. He demonstrated his importance to the team with an assist in the 4-0 victory over Bournemouth.

“I’ve had a long time (here), nine years, 10 years come next year,” Cresswell told the club’s official website.

“But look whether I’m playing or not I’ll keep giving everything I’ve got for the club.

“I know I’m getting towards the back end, you could say, of my career. But I’m still enjoying it, still love it down here and as I say I’ll give it everything I’ve got.”
