King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla are scheduled to be coronated on May 6, which will be the first coronation since Charles’s mother, Elizabeth II, in 1953.
After Elizabeth II’s death on September 8, 2022, Charles inherited the crown. The coronation ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Westminster Abbey in London, England.
Prince William and Prince Harry, along with many other members of the King’s family, will attend the coronation ceremony. However, Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, will not be present and will remain in California.
The King’s Procession, which is Charles and Camilla’s route to Westminster Abbey, will begin at 5:20 a.m. ET (or 10:20 a.m. BST) as per the U.K. Government. The official coronation ceremony will start at 6 a.m. ET.
